Proud Plugs

Well, that was one Porktacular! weekend. Big thanks to the Pork Filled Players, who invited us to share the stage with them on the opening weekend of their brand new show. Roger, Maggie, May, Narea and Matt – always a pleasure and an honour. Special thanks to Jane for her tech wizardry, Tracy and Rob for being cross-border superfans, and the terrific folks who came out to the Friday and Saturday shows. See y’all again soon!

Proud Plug #1: July 27/28 is the final weekend of Porktacular! Joining the Pork Filled Players are Charles, another hilarious sketch comedy group we quite adore. Full details on the Pork Filled Players website. (Break legs guys and gals!)

Proud Plug #2: While you’re in Seattle, catch Yellow Face by David Henry Hwang, presented by ReAct: The Repetory Actors Theatre and the Pork Filled Players. Special encore run ends Sunday, July 29.

Proud Plug #3: We love Laura McLean. She’s our director and even though she has a ton of things on the go, she takes the time to make us shine. Or maybe she just likes all the snacks we bring to rehearsals (except for the spicy nuts that almost made her cry.) Laura’s got a show that’s currently playing at The Cultch as part of the Neanderthal Arts Festival. Check out STATIONARY: a recession-era musical that’s been getting rave reviews. The show runs until Sunday, July 29.

Powell Street Festival Show Update

Stay tuned! We’re just waiting for confirmation on our performance time, but mark Saturday, August 4 on your calendars (do any of you still use calendars?) As soon as we know, we’ll let you know. Thanks Fishy fans!
